Hawaii’s Wedding Professionals Show #11 – Watanabe Floral and Bo Peep Sheepskin Warehouse

Rona Mochizuki, Monty Pereira and Kahu Kalehua

Hawaii’s Wedding Professionals Episode #11 opens in a beautiful set at Watanabe Floral. Surrounded by floral arrangements of various colors and types of blooms, Host Kahu Kalehua Featheran has the pleasure of talking with Monty K. Pereira, Sales and Marketing Director and Rona Mochizuki, Wedding Consultant/Manager. Monty shares that Watanabe Floral began as rose growers and after almost half a century in business, is now one of the largest if not the largest wholesalers of flowers on Oahu and is placing an emphasis on the wedding market.

Whether it be leis like the pikake lei worn by Rona, the mock orange/kukui nut and shell leis worn by Kahu Kalehua and Monty, or bridal bouquets and arrangements, Watanabe Floral can provide them all. Couples begin by making an appointment with Rona or one of the designers on her staff and together, they will select the type of flowers, color, design that will accent this special day in a wedding couple’s life – for surely, there is nothing as beautiful as a classic white orchid bridal bouquet or a fragrant maile lei to add color and ambiance to a wedding celebration.

Shen Hayes – Bo Peep Sheepskin Warehouse
Kahu Kalehua’s second guest is Shen Hayes, manager of Bo Peep Sheepskin Warehouse.  Shen practically grew up in Hawaii and has been with Bo Peep Sheepskin Warehouse since high school. In addition to the outlet on Keawe Street (alongside the old Comp USA building), there are outlets on the big Island as well.

What is Bo Peep Sheepskin Warehouse? It is a retail store that sells products made of sheepskin – from single or double rugs/throws for snuggling with your sweetheart, pillows that serve as centerpieces for tables at the wedding reception, or car seat covers for wedding gifts, sheepskin products not only feel plush and luxurious but have health benefits as well. What are these health benefits? Tune in and find out!
