If you ever saw a horse and carriage in Waikiki or downtown during the Honolulu City Lights display, you have seen Honeylook.com’s Presents Sponsor Honolulu Horse & Carriage in action.  Owner/operations since 1997, Michelle Blacconiere and her Dad, Michael Blacconiere have the distinction of being the only horse and carriage operation on Oahu.  In addition to weddings, they also have carriages for funerals, graduation, promos, fundraising and other special events and you can see the various carriages as well as horses during the interview.  Ikaika Uhane, the white English shire, probably the largest horse on the island at 2,500 pounds, was born black as were some of the other Percherons that pull the carriages.  Honolulu Horse and Carriage will be one of the vendors at the Koolau Ballrooms Bridal Open House, planned for August 16 – calendar this event and come out to meet the vendors at Honeylook.com.

Koolau Ballrooms & Conference Center’s Event Services Manager, Merri Ford, is Kalehua’s second guest.  Handling weddings and all events, including birthday parties, anniversaries, school events, Merri’s 12+ years of experience is really evident in her knowledge and service oriented manner.  She introduces viewers to the 3 wedding venues – the Indoor Waterfall, Outdoor Garden and Koolau Vista (18th tee).  During the second half of the interview, be present at Koolau Ballroom’s “A Taste of Koolau” as Norman Higashi, Director of Operations welcomes everyone to sample Chef Jim Gillespie’s fabulous menu items.  Hear a short presentation by the Koolau Ballroom’s team and also comments directly from the guests.

Ever wanted to get to know the wedding vendors a little better?  Well, Hawaii’s Wedding Professionals’ encore presentation of the first show of Season #3 will allow you to do just that.  Opening with Kalehua Featheran, host and producer of Hawaii’s Wedding Professionals, and owner of Weddings By Kalehua, the cameras follow him over the course of a few days and record some great scenes of him on and off the job.  Meet Kawena!  See how Kalehua gets his work out!!  Learn about what makes Kalehua’s wedding ceremony a unique and memorable experience for a wedding couple and how you can contact him if you’re interested in having him officiate your wedding, vow renewal or civil union.

During the second segment, Eileen Abe of Mana’o I’o (fine hand crafted products for weddings and special events) introduces the viewers to Roo and Otto – you might think you’re watching The Pet Hui but it’s just Eileen’s 2 furry kids – Roo is her Italian Greyhound and Otto is her foster son, who is looking for a forever home of his own.  Besides the furry kids, Eileen enjoys spending time creating custom kahilis for weddings and special events and the segment ends up with the cameras following Eileen as she sources supplies, puts together and presents a silk bridal bouquet to her wedding couple.

Kudos to Stuart K Featheran Jr, our videographer and editor for his fabulous job in putting this premiere show together.

If you’re looking for a photographer with a woman’s touch (a softer, more emotional feel), contact Marina Chayka of Chayka Photography.  She offers a unique all day package for $1,500, providing the client with all of the photos, edited.  Marina came to Hawaii to photography a wedding for some friends here and liked it so much, she decided to move here.  She says the one thing that sets her apart from other photographers is that she tries to be an original and not copy the style of others and her photos reflect that philosophy in being unique and with a lady’s touch.

Always behind the scenes, Kalehua’s second guest is son Stuart, who has been the Hawaii’s Wedding Professionals videographer and editor for almost 2 years.  Graduating from Kailua High School, Stu was attending HCC in music business when he wanted to do something different and went to see Dad, who just happened to be looking for a videographer and editor for the show and the rest is history.  Stu loves to film weddings because it’s pleasant to watch, it’s a big step for the couple and he gets to capture their story.  Check out the fabulous “No Financial Risk” video package that Kalehua and Stuart offers for wedding couples!
