Kahu Kalehua Featheran opens Hawaii’s Wedding Professional’s second season with his first show in high definition and introducing the Aloha Wedding Shop Resource Center aka www.honeylook.com.

Kalehua’s first guest is Gilbert Magbual, owner and DJ of N-D Mixx Productions and a 1986 graduate of Waipahu High School.  N-D Mixx is a family-run business, with wife Fran and his daughter and son all helping out.  Although Gil’s background began in radio, in 1991 he decided to go into business for himself and that must have been a good decision since 2011 marks Gil’s 20th successful year in the DJ business.  His vast library of songs numbers 75,000 and if his client wants a song that he doesn’t have even if it’s just an hour before the wedding, Gil said in this day and age, it’s easy and fast to download the song onto an Ipod and have it ready when it’s needed.

Gil has worked with clients from all over the world.  All it takes is for the client to check out his website and then make an appointment to speak with Gil, personally or by phone.  He can set up sound and lighting for an intimate group of 20 guests to large wedding receptions and corporate functions of 2,000 guests or more.

Dave Miyamoto of Dave Miyamoto & Company is Kahu Kalehua’s second guest.  This is also Dave’s 20th year in the photography business and the viewing audience is in for a treat as they get to see some of Dave’s work – unique, fascinating, eye-catching…on some of the photos, you want to ask, “how did they do that?”

Dave enjoys natural poses, what is currently called the photo-journalistic style, although he also captures the more formal poses as well.  He likes to have the wedding unfold and be there to capture the special moments.  Those special moments happen when the bride and groom feel comfortable with their photographer and trusts that the photographer will do a good job for them.  Dave creates the opportunity for this trust to develop by meeting with the couple before their wedding day to “talk stories” and get to know one another.
